Dear Children,

Accept My love and blessings. Blessings also for your brothers and sisters, your parents and teachers. Your classes are named Bal Vikas. Vikas means blooming, the blooming of the flower. The flower pleases us for it is beautiful, fragrant and fresh. Every child is a flower in the garden of Sai. The tenderness, simplicity and innocence make the child charming; it is so loving that all people love it in return. The child is not selfish. It plays freely with other children. The child always speaks truth. It shares what it likes with its playmates. This sharing gives it great joy and adds to the joy of others. Children! Cultivate these virtues. Also, help other children whenever you can. And, help your parents when they need it. Make them happy. Make them proud of you and your goodness. Learn well the lessons that your Guru teaches and try to practise the dos and don’ts they advise you to follow.

You are now in the first stage of the long journey of life. You have many great tasks before you. You have many duties to discharge in order to make your Motherland happy and prosperous. The boys and girls of today must be the doctors, the engineers, the administrators, the farmers, the traders of tomorrow—developing and defending this vast country and bringing joy to millions of homes. India and the world have huge material resources, but your hand and hearts have to supply the will and the skill to use those resources for the good of the people. Prepare yourselves and get ready for the role. I bless you that you grow into strong, brave and selfless servants of the people. Sai will be with you always. Sai loves children very much, for they are disciplined and devoted, always do their duties joyfully.
