The Best Medicine

Vijayamma, seeing your sweet letter, I felt both compassion and happiness. As it is said,

“Samsara sarpa drashtanaam yeka maevahi bhaeshajam

Sarvada sarva kaaleshu sarvathra Hari chinthanaam”

Meaning –

For the one bitten by the snake called mundane world, there is only one medicine that is efficacious. It is recitation of the name of Hari at all times and at all places.

Having the right medicine for that snake bite with you, alas, why this worry! It is like someone who went all the way to Golkonda in search of a pebble.

Why you people get disheartened at such small things? Do not give any scope of restlessness. Achieve peace through the name of Sai. Bring that Sai into your cool mind. Like a drowning boat why do you waver while this little Sai is there behind you to save. Sai will soon give you peace and happiness. He will be with you all along, and will protect you.
