Right Conduct to Earn Swami's Grace

Received the letters written by all the boys. I cannot get the necessary time to write individual letters to all. Convey My Blessings to all the boys. Tell them that they should study well and conduct themselves in a manner that would please Swami, and they should behave in such a way as to earn Swami's Grace. They have been writing, "Swami should come.”

They should see to it that Swami comes to them. Swami would Himself come if they strictly adhere to His words and commands with regard to talking, playing, singing and overall behaviour. Devotion is like a magnet. When kept clean and free from any trace of impurity, it will pull towards it any entity, irrespective of capacity, power or strength. And, putting Swami's ideals into practice constitutes the action of the purest kind.

They want Swami but they disregard Swami's commands. How then can they secure Swami? If they make an effort to conduct themselves by keeping in view that Swami's command is more important and significant than Swami Himself, Swami will become theirs very easily. By resisting from indulging in loose and unnecessary talk, in being over smart, in casting bad and evil looks or in acts which are bad, there will be no place at all for a poisonous and polluted mind.

It is not a mistake if unhealthy and undesirable thoughts happen to arise, but care must be taken to see that the body does not follow them. Sai Himself is ever willing and ever ready to help and assist them at all times and at all places. It is this which gives joy to Sai. Convey My Blessings once again to all. Come to Prashanti Nilayam around 10th or 11th.
