Conquer the Little ‘I’

Dear Boys,

Let every human being re-make himself. Let them understand that they live not for moneymaking, not for fulfilling their wants, not for scholarly and intellectual talents but for spiritual development.

Effects of past karmas have to be effaced with karmas backed by Prema. Every karma must have a background of Prema.

It is only in this world that spiritual progress can be made. Annihilation of the ego and dissolution of desires can be had here and now. Till then, going and returning to this transient world is certain. Conquer appetites, desires, ambitions, the little ‘I’ impulses, egoism, vasanas, vikaras, ragas and dweshas—all these which have built the world of Maya—this world of appearance and illusions.

The light of Prema is absent in the heart and so bats and other nocturnal birds infest the heart and foul it. The bats are the evil qualities of hate, greed and conceit.
