Dasara has been celebrated in a grand manner in Prasanthi Nilayam ever since the 1940s. The celebrations acquired a special spiritual fervour with the beginning of the Veda Purusha Saptaha Jnana Yajna. During the evening, Bhagawan convened the Prasanthi Vidwan Maha Sabha where various scholars addressed the gathering and the program would conclude with a Divine Discourse.
