New Moon is Not Forever

Undated

From:

Sri Sathya Sai

Padma, accept My blessings. The letters you wrote to your father and Me have reached. I have noted their contents. Amavasya (the night of the new moon) does not remain the same always. The poornima (the night of the full moon) is bound to follow. Be patient for some time. Swami’s grace will be earned. Swami will not put you through this trouble forever. Since problems are piling, one on top of the other, your mind may get disturbed. This is the time to use Swami’s Name and take courage. Does anyone wear woolen clothes in summer and cotton clothes in winter? Nobody does so. In the present ‘heat’, wear the cooling garments of the remembrances of God. Do not wear the warming woolen garments of worldly thoughts.

I had asked you to come to Parthi in summer. Now, you are in doubt – whether to follow Swami’s words or not. Sai’s duty is to be Sandeha Nivarini Sarathi (doubt-dispelling charioteer) that is to remove such doubts, which cause worry. You don’t have to come to Me now. When your husband is going through an enquiry and your father-in-law is in the hospital, and mother-in-law is in agony, it would not be proper to leave them and come to Me. Whatever may be the difficulties and discomforts, there should be mutual adjustment. To come away from there, leaving each to care for himself or herself is not proper for either you or Me or your father. Since you are married to such a person, along with him, your parents-in-law must also suffer. Experience happiness for a time. Afterwards, you will get peace. If the children wish to come over here, send them for the holidays. When good time comes, both of you can come. My blessings to your mother-in-law, father-in-law, and children.
